First, there will be an overview of what LiDAR is, how it works, and the different types of sensors and their capabilities. Followed by an explanation of how the data from the sensor is processed, calibrated, and validated. Next will be a discussion of how the data is classified and the types of end products, such as DEM’s and contours, that can be generated from the data. It will also include a look at the many different products that can be created from LiDAR data. Lastly, there will be an overview of the many different applications that LiDAR can be used for and a discussion on how existing LiDAR data that you have can be re-purposed.
