Historical U.S. Census data are a treasure trove for understanding immigration patterns of settlement. The 1900 – 1930 censuses identify the place of birth for each recorded person, including the place of birth of the person’s mother and father. Learn how the team at UW-Stevens Point has managed the original census data to overlay the modern cache of street addresses using geocoding procedures.
