Many communities are focusing on making their public amenities accessible to all residents. Part of this entails preforming ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Compliance Audits to identify locations that meet ADA standards and those that need improvement. The City of Janesville uses GIS to inspect its public ROW, analyze for ADA compliance and prioritize necessary improvement projects. This presentation will show how the city uses Collector for inspections, Dashboards for analysis and web apps for improvement planning, along with lessons learned during the process. Learn how GIS helped the City of Janesville develop an ADA Transition Plan that establishes measurable goals based on the balance of priority improvement areas and limited funding.
