ArcGIS Pro Parcel Fabric: It's not a matter of if, but when!
It's a BIG deal! Entities implementing Esri’s Parcel Fabric for ArcGIS Desktop should know that change is coming, and that change is called ArcGIS Pro. Under the umbrella of the DOA and SCO’s statewide parcel mapping incentive, many entities throughout the state have invested heavily in the development, creation, and curation of the statewide parcel mapping since 2014. With the adoption of ArcGIS Pro Parcel Fabric on the horizon, what should counties, municipalities, and state agencies expect when users move to the next generation of the Esri Parcel Fabric platform? Buffalo County is sharing its experience of the transition. The presentation will highlight the advancements of Esri’s latest platform and how Buffalo County has implemented them. Buffalo County’s parcel fabric partner Panda Consulting will be on hand to demonstrate the workflow counties will undertake. The historical context of the statewide parcel fabric and how it relates to future county parcel mapping actives will be discussed. The presentation will also cover how a versioned, multi-user SQL Server Enterprise database is moved to an ArcGIS Server Data Store. Come prepared with your questions for a QA session with county, state and vendor partners.

Jackson County Parcel Fabric Development
Jackson County has been working to improve the accuracy of PLSS & spatial data in the County. The GIS staff has been following the lead of the Surveyors, and using field data collected in Jackson County’s re-monumentation project. This effort is being completed by collecting and re-monumenting PLSS Control in a systematic plan and using that new information to redevelop their parcel data from source documents in the Parcel Fabric platform. This effort includes development of the PLSS features, Subdivision features, Rights of way, and Tax Parcels. Join us to see what we’ve been up to, our current status, and what our plans are to continue the work.
