Howard Veregin

Howard Veregin has almost 40 years of experience with digital mapping technology. He has a PhD in Geography from the University of California Santa Barbara and for the last 10 years has been Wisconsin State Cartographer at UW-Madison. He worked in the private sector at Rand McNally as Director of Geographic Information Services and spent nearly a decade as a professor teaching GIS and computer mapping at Kent State University and the University of Minnesota. He is currently Chair of the Wisconsin Spatial Reference System 2022 Task Force (WSRS 2022) with co-chair Dick Kleinmann.
