Roger Kain

Roger Kain is a Fellow of the British Academy, the UK’s national academy for the humanities and social sciences and its Vice-President (Research and Higher Education Policy). He is Professor of Humanities in the School of Advanced Study, University of London and previously its Dean and Chief Executive, 2010-17. Roger is a Fellow of UCL and an Honorary Professor at University of Exeter (where he was Deputy Vice-Chancellor, 2002-10) and at University of Wisconsin-Madison where he is editor of Volume Five of The History of Cartography: Cartography in the Nineteenth Century, funded by the US National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Science Foundation.
